- Biographical Note:
- Langfelder graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He became Assistant Professor at NCSC from 1964-1967, Associate Professor, 1967-1973, and Professor of Civil Engineering in 1973. Langfelder became Head of the Department of Marine Science and Engineering 1978-1980, and Head of the new Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences in 1981. He resigned in 1985.
