- Biographical Note:
- Joseph Deadrick Clark received his B.A. from Columbia University and his MA from Harvard. Clark came to NCSU in 1923 where he taught as Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor of English and served as Chair of the English Department. In all, he was with the University for 39 years. He research and publications focused on the study of folklore.
