Transcribed from front: Forest Reproduction; HHB-597; Young pines coming up in an ungrazed area. This usually burns every three or four years, and the young pines are killed. Grazing the forage here no doubt would help reduce the fire hazard. Taken near Wenona Field Station, N. C. 1/5/41.
