Summer 2025 closure

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, for planned electrical work. The Special Collections Research Center is located in Hill Library, and will be closed for all appointments during this period. Special Collections can only make appointment requests until April 25th and after August 3, 2025. During the closure, Special Collections staff will be available to answer questions about our collections, if they are accessible, and to support researchers using digital materials for their research. Description:
This is a photograph of three unidentified with a team of horses and a load of logs in the snow. we are saving money by leaving it stand in the woods. the cedar is very poor species as it has more or less rot in every log. Labor has been very cheap through winter as we are paying swampers 16 to 22 dollars per month sawyers 22 to 30 dollars and teamsters 35 dollars per month. we were paying 40 dollars"
