The D. H. Hill Jr. Library will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, for planned electrical work. The Special Collections Research Center is located in Hill Library, and will be closed for all appointments during this period. Special Collections can only make appointment requests until April 25th and after August 3, 2025. During the closure, Special Collections staff will be available to answer questions about our collections, if they are accessible, and to support researchers using digital materials for their research. This recording was conducted in the D. H. Hill Jr. Library on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the Alumni Association’s Class of 1968 "Forever Club" Reunion. Ron Shoulars (Class of 1968) discusses his experiences as a graduate of Aerospace Engineering, including efforts to “welcome” the first female students of Watauga Hall in 1964 by joining other men in an attempted nighttime raid surrounding the women’s dormitory, and demanding the women present them with lingerie.
