Title:
Wolf Tales Recording with Xu Yang and Aitor Goicoechea: FLE400, 23 October 2018
Description:
This recording was conducted as part of FLE 400: American English Pronunciation for International Students with Professor Mary Michaels Estrada in October 2018, in the D. H. Hill Jr. Library. Xu Yang and Aitor Goicoechea discuss their experiences as international students adjusting to life in North Carolina, having come from China and Spain respectively. The pair share their proudest moments at NC State students, and reflect on the reputation of their respective departments, Computer Science and Engineering, in drawing them to the area. Both also reflect on the challenges of learning English in an immersive environment, and describe impacts it has on their learning, such as missing lecture notes or having to adapt to American course design.
