- According to the 1916 Asheville city directory, a Calvary Presbyterian Church was located at Market and Eagle. Another source tells us that this was an African American church. Street views on Google Maps do not show any building that resembles a church at this location, so the original structure likely was demolished at some point. Today there is still a Calvary Presbyterian Church in Asheville, but it is located on Church Street.
