Nathan Tisdale (silversmith), first owner.
Architectural note:
The home typifies the gable-roofed, center-chimney house that was popular for early nineteenth century New Bern artisans. The interior trim was executed in the Federal style. An early nineteenth century smokehouse has been attached to the home.
