Woodrow Taylor recalls student opposition in the early 1960s to attempts to rename NC State as "the University of North Carolina at Raleigh."

00:00:00.000 Students at North Carolina State were violently opposed to becoming the University of North Carolina at Raleigh.
00:00:11.390 We felt like we were a different campus. Although we were part of the university system we preferred a unique name.
00:00:25.388 We came to North Carolina State and we wanted it to stay that way. It was a compromise, which finally became North Carolina [State] University,
00:00:36.873 and they've dropped it now but at that time it said "at Raleigh."
