NC State University Libraries Student Leadership Initiative

About

After launching in 2010, the Student Leadership Initiative sought ways in which to more fully connect users with university history, enrich university archives by adding personal narratives, demonstrate the breadth and depth of leaders produced by NC State University, and positively impact learning and research in the NC State University Libraries Special Collections Research Center. This multi-year program chronicled the experiences and impact of former student leaders through the collection of video oral histories, biographical essays and digitized images. Please take some time to explore excerpts from our interviews. We hope that these rich tales of the student experience and of the events and people that have shaped the university will be an invaluable resource for alumni, researchers, and students. Oral history interviews for the Student Leadership Initiative were last conducted in 2015. Former and current student leaders wishing to contribute their stories are encouraged to create and submit a Wolf Tales recording.
