- Biographical Note:
- Professor John F. Bogden, Albert Myers Professor of Textiles, designed and produced the washcloths and towels used on the Gemini and Apollo space flights. He was also chosen as Phi Psi Man of the Year by the Eta Chapter at NCSU in 1977. Professor Bogdan came to NCSU in 1945 to head the Processing Research Department in Textiles. He served as Head of the Department of Textile Technology and also acted as Special Administrative Assistant to the Dean. He retired in 1977.
