- Biographical Note:
- Dr. Carlton Blalock received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from NC State in animal science and his Ph.D. in extension administration from the University of Wisconsin. He was the specialist in charge of dairy husbandry and a district leader. Blalock was named Assistant Director of the NC Agricultural Extension Service, and state 4-H leader. He was named Associate Director and Director of the Extension Service. After retiring as Director of the NC Agricultural Extension Service, he was named Executive Vice President of the Tobacco Growers Association of NC. Dr. T. Carlton Blalock was inducted as a 2006 National 4-H Hall of Fame laureate.
