- Biographical Note:
- Leonard David (L.D.) Baver came to North Carolina State University in 1940 as Head of the Department of Agronomy and Associate Director of the N.C. Agricultural Experiment Station. Baver became Director of the Experiment Station and Associate Dean of the School of Agriculture and Forestry in 1941 and 1946, respectively. Baver was named Dean of the School of Agriculture and Forestry in 1945 but left NC State to become Director of Research for the Hawaiian Sugar Planters Association in 1947.
