- Biographical Note:
- Roy S. Dearstyne received his B.S. from the University of Maryland in 1916 and his M.S. from NC State in 1922. Dearstyne joined North Carolina State University in that year as Associate Professor of Poultry Science, a position he held until 1930 when NC State named him Head of the Department of Poultry Science. Taught at State from 1922 to 1955. Dearstyne retired from the University in 1955. Died February 1960.
