- Biographical Note:
- Yarbrough graduated from N.C. State College in June 1893, and was a member of the first graduating class. He also taught in the Mechanical Engineering Department for two years at N.C. State College following graduation. Yarbrough worked at the United States Post Office for 37 1/2 years. Originally from Caswell County. He died in 1962. His daughter, Mary Yarbrough, was the first woman to be graduated from State College in 1927.
