Summer 2025 closure

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, for planned electrical work. The Special Collections Research Center is located in Hill Library, and will be closed for all appointments during this period. Special Collections can only make appointment requests until April 25th and after August 3, 2025. During the closure, Special Collections staff will be available to answer questions about our collections, if they are accessible, and to support researchers using digital materials for their research. Wood, W. Ned (William Ned), 1910-1999

Biographical Note:
Wood graduated from N.C. State College in 1933 with a B.S. in Animal Husbandry. He received his M.A. in Education from Columbia University in 1947. Wood was appointed Assistant State 4-H Club Leader after his discharge from the Army in 1945. After receiving his master's degree he returned to N.C. State College and was appointed Assistant Dean of Students in 1947. Prior to his induction into the Army in 1942, Wood was a Farm Agent for N.C. State College Agricultural Extension Service.
