- Biographical Note:
- Joseph Arthur Weybrew received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1942. Weybrew joined the faculty at NC State College in 1946 as an Associate Professor of Agricultural Chemistry. In 1955, the College bestowed the title of William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor upon Weybrew. He also served as the Chairman of the Editorial Board of Tobacco Science in the 1950s and 1960s.
