- Biographical Note:
- Alfred J. Stamm received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. After a 34-year career with Forest Products Laboratory, Stamm joined NCSU’s School of Forestry in 1959 where he taught and researched until retiring in 1970. Stamm published various works on the physics and chemistry of wood and received several awards for his scholarship.
