Smith, Clyde F. (Clyde Fuhriman), 1913-2000

Biographical Note:
Smith received his Ph.D. from Ohio State University. He was appointed Assistant Professor in 1939, and later was Associate Professor. Smith became Professor and Head of Entomology in 1950. In 1963 he stepped down as Head of the Department of Entomology to return to full-time research. He was one of the world's top authorities on aphids. He was Professor Emeritus from 1980 to 2000.
