- Biographical Note:
- Spain graduated from N.C. State College with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Education in 1948, earned his M.S. degree in Agricultural Education in 1949, and his D.Ed. from the University of Florida in 1954. Spain became Assistant Director of Admissions at N.C. State College in 1950.
