- Biographical Note:
- Alumnus of the class of 1924. He was a member of the N.C. House and Senate from 1951-1980 and a member of the Advisory Budget Commission for six sessions and its Chairman in 1973-1974, 1975-1976, 1977-1978. He was one of the organizers of the Dairy Foundation at NCSU and worked to get Food Sciences built.
