- Biographical Note:
- Sasser received both his bachelor's and master's degrees at NC State and his Ph.D. from the Unversity of Maryland. Sasser joined the NCSC faculty in 1953. He was a plant pathologist who worked with nematodes. He was presented with the O. Max Gardner Award in 1982.
