- Biographical Note:
- After graduating with a B.S. from NC State, John (Joe) William Pou went on to receive his Ph.D. in Animal Breeding from Cornell University in 1951. Pou returned to State for a short time in 1946 as an Agricultural Extension Agent. In 1953 NC State named Pou Head of the Department of Animal Industry.
