Lowenstein, Allard K.

Biographical Note:
Political activist and civil rights leader, Allard Lowenstein was known nationally as the creator of the “Dump Johnson movement.” He taught social studies at NC State for 2 years during the early sixties. In 1980 ,at age 51, Lowenstein was murdered by Dennis Sweeney, a former student and friend who suffered from mental illness.
