Lancaster, Forrest W.

Biographical Note:
Lancaster received his Ph.D. from Duke University. He was appointed Assistant Professor of Physics in 1930. He was made Professor in 1942. During World War II he taught radar use to officers in the armed forces. The 1943 Agromeck was dedicated to him. Lancaster taught physics for 40 years at NCSU and received outstanding teacher awards in 1960 and 1963. His research was in resonance absorption spectroscopy and acoustical and radiation damage of materials.
