- Biographical Note:
- Knight received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1939 (ASHVE Fellowship). In 1952 he came to NC State as L. L. Vaughn Professor of Mechanical Engineering. In July 1961 he took a leave of absence to accept an assignment for the Atomic Energy Commission.
