- Biographical Note:
- David E. Henderson took graduate classes at NC State but went on to receive his M.S. from New York University. Henderson joined the faculty at NC State in 1940 as Instructor of Mechanical Engineering. After becoming an Assistant Professor the following year, Henderson resigned his position. In 1947, Henderson returned to the University as Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering. Henderson resigned from this post in 1954.
