Hauser, John Reid

Biographical Note:
Hauser was awarded the B.S. in Electrical Engineering at NCSU in 1960 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University in 1964. From 1966-1968 he was an Assistant Professor and from 1968-1973 an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at State. Between 1981 and 1982 he was Vice President for Semiconductor Research and Fabrication, a position shared between MCNC and NCSU. From 1994-1995 Hauser was Interim Head, Electrical and Computer Engineering, NCSU, from 1984 to 1998 he was Director of the Solid State Electronics Laboratory, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, NCSU. From 1996 to 2000 he was Director of NSF, ERC for Advanced Electronic Materials Processing at NCSU and later became Director of the SRC/SEMATECH Center for Front End Processing. Hauser became a Distinguished Professor Emeritus within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2007.
