- Biographical Note:
- Founded and was the Head of the Ceramic Engineering Department from 1924-1946, which was the first of its kind in the South. He was President of the American Ceramic Society from 1923-1924 as well as founding member and first President of the National Institute of Ceramic Engineers (NICE).
