- Biographical Note:
- S. Scott Ferebee completed his ROTC training at N.C. State University before entering the Army in 1942. At the end of World War II, Ferebee returned to the University and received his BS in 1948. Ferebee was active with the University following his graduation; he was President of the Alumni Association and a member of the Board of Directors. In honor of his service, N.C. State awarded Ferebee the Watauga Medal in 2001.
