Digital Project:: Beaux Arts to Modernism: “Beaux Arts to Modernism: Early Twentieth Century Architecture in North Carolina” was an LSTA-grant funded project to digitize architectural drawings and photographs documenting historic buildings in North Carolina. Architects represented in the project include Brown and Alexander Architect Engineering (née Biberstein, Bowles, Meacham & Reed); Martin E. Boyer; Eric G. Flannagan; Northup & O'Brien; Herbert Woodley Simpson, Louis Asbury; Leslie Boney; Charles Parker; Richard Sharp Smith; Douglas Ellington, and William H. Deitrick. The project was a partnership of the NC State University Libraries, the State Archives of North Carolina, the UNC Charlotte J. Murrey Atkins Library, and the Asheville Art Museum.

Historical note:: The house is located in the Myers Park neighborhood, which typifies the professionally planned suburbs of the South in the early twentieth century. Myers Park exhibits many of the architectural styles that were popular for wealthy urban North Carolinians after World War I, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district.
