Summer 2025 closure

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, for planned electrical work. The Special Collections Research Center is located in Hill Library, and will be closed for all appointments during this period. Special Collections can only make appointment requests until April 25th and after August 3, 2025. During the closure, Special Collections staff will be available to answer questions about our collections, if they are accessible, and to support researchers using digital materials for their research. Transcribed from back: Farm Forestry Series [#432] By R.W. Graeber, Extension Forester; Timber thinning demonstration at farm of Grady Cooper, Surry county. This work is being done by the agricultural students of the Dobson High School, in exchange for a trip to Washington, D.C. The work is being done under the supervision of W. B. White, Vocational Teacher. Extension Forester R. W. Graeber says, "This is a fine job, and an example which will influence the whole community."
