- Transcribed from back: Farm Forestry Series [#157] By R. W. Graeber, Extension Forester. 25 cords of wood cut from thinnings on three acres of second growth pine at the farm of Malcolm Palmer, Stanly county. The owner sold this wood at $1.50 per cord on the stump, thus giving him $12.50 per acre for the waste wood on three acres. A full stand of thrifty growing trees have been left.
