Description:
Transcribed from information found with original: #42 Made by R.W. Graeber, August 5, 1926. Timber estimating demonstration on the farm of W.H. Brame, Stoneville, R.F.D. Before measuring or counting the trees on a demonstration plot (1/4 acre) this group of farmers agreed that the standing timber would cut 3500 to 4000 board feet of square edged boards. Each tree on the plot was scaled and estimate of volume made. Result for the plot of 1/4 acre was 6200 board feet of approximately 25,000 board feet per acre. Moral -- Don't sell timber by guess. P.S. Walker, County Agent, is measuring a beauty
