- Transcribed from information found with original: A sale of grade Jersey Heifers was held at Four Oaks under the auspices of the Bank of Four Oaks on Friday, August 20. Sixty-nine head of heifers were sold to farmers in the Four Oaks community and throughout Johnston County. In this picture, Mr. R.C. Cannady, president of the Bank of Four Oaks, is shown on the right. In the middle is Mr. Bert Lassiter, cashier of the Bank of Four Oaks, and on the left, holding the heifer, is J.C. Johnson who helped to bring the calves into the show ring to be sold. J.C. is a 4-H Club member.
