Description:
From enclosed note: No. 527; Date: April, 1937; Subject: Cooperating with the Soil Conservation program--turning under hairy vetch; Remarks: Hello everybody, says Woodrow Dernell, tenant farmer, on Mr. J. R. Miller's farm near Pineville. Mr. Darnell had a hard year last year like most Meck. Co. farmers, but he is starting out with renewed interest in 1937. He is shown here on April 1, putting his hand to the plow, saying, "much Obliged" to the growth of Hairy Vetch that he is turning under. Four other views showing Woodrow Darnell.
