- Title:
- Cattle given water through irrigation
- Description:
- Transcribed from enclosed note: 'For Emergencies Only'; That's the way North Carolina farmers have long regarded irrigation, but with the past several years being "emergency" years, supplemental irrigation has become a part of the state's farm scene. Actually, there is some question about the economics of irrigating pastures; but for tobacco, irrigation seems to pay off not only in quantity of tobacco but in quality.
