Summer 2025 closure

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, for planned electrical work. The Special Collections Research Center is located in Hill Library, and will be closed for all appointments during this period. Special Collections can only make appointment requests until April 25th and after August 3, 2025. During the closure, Special Collections staff will be available to answer questions about our collections, if they are accessible, and to support researchers using digital materials for their research. Transcribed from accompanying material: [November] 12, 1928; Made by E. C. Blair; Cotton after Velvet Beans and after Peanuts; Edgecombe County; (1) Cotton after velvet beans. This land lay out in 1926 as it was considered too poor to cultivate velvet beans in 1927. (2) Cotton after peanuts (1927). This is in same field as the other picture, but in 1926 this part was more fertile than the other. R. A. Bradley, Whitakers, N. C.; 8/28/28
