- Tours Bahamas--Members of the Catawba County 4-H Teen Caravan Club are shown on the 700-passenger ship that took them to the Bahamas. The 42 members and their adult leaders left Newton by bus Sunday, June 8, and traveled to Miami, Fla., where they boarded the ship. The ship departed the Bahamas Thursday afternoon and the group is expected to arrive back in Newton Saturday afternoon (June 14). Seated in front of the delegation are: (left to right) Mrs. W. A.
