- Four North Carolina 4-H'ers have received the top honor offered in 4-H in the state--that of being named as delegates to the National 4-H Club Conference. The Conference will be held in Washington, D. C., at the National 4-H Center, April 18-24. Dr. Carlton Blalock, assistant director of the Agricultural Extension Service in charge of 4-H, announced that the four top 4-H'ers selected included: Betty Scott, Columbia; and Hoke Smith III, Trinity, Rt. 1. Mary Alice Thomas, Magnolia and Howard Williams, Olin, Rt. 1, were selected as alternatives. [Additional information enclosed]
