41st. National 4-H Club Congress -- Twelve national 4-H Club tractor winners gather round Miss Donna Anne Ratclift, Halifax, Va., 4-H tractor queen and James L. The tractor winners, left to right are: Ronald Diedrichs, 17, Brighton, Colo.; Robert Laseter, 17, Stone Mountain, Ga.; LeRoy Zeiner, 20, Fillmore, Ind.; Robert Taylor, Jr., 19, Spencer, Mass.; Dwight Schmidt, 18, Monroe, Mich.; Bill Hawks, 18, Hernando, Miss.; Dale Johnson, 16, Carlsbad, N. Mex.; Jerry Mickelson, 18, Newfield, N.Y.; Paul Gallimore Jr., 19, Lexington, N.C.; Chuck Robinette, 17, Douglas, Okla.; George Merritt, 18, Decherd, Tenn.; and Larry Swisher, 17, Lost Creek, W. Va. Each of the winners received a $400 college scholarship and an expense-paid trip to the National 4-H Club Congress. Scholarships for Diedrichs, Zeiner and Schmidt were given by Standard Oil Foundation, Inc. (Chicago). Awards for Laseter, Taylor, Hawks, Mickelson, Gallimore, Merritt and Swisher were given by American Oil Foundation. Those for Johnson and Robinette were provided by Humble Oil & Refining Company. The national 4-H tractor program is conducted by the Cooperative Extension Service and is arranged by the National 4-H Service Committee.
