Stollard, supervisor youth and educational activities, American Oil Company, presents college scholarship certificates to winners in the National 4-H Tractor program. The winners of $400 scholarships are left to right: George Merritt, 18, Dacherd, Tenn.; Robert Taylor Jr., 19, Spencer, Mass.; Dale Johnson, 16, Carlsbad, N. Mex.; Robert Laseter, 17, Stone Mountain, Ga.; Dwight Schmidt, 18, Monroe, Mich.; Chuck Robinette, 17, Douglas, Okla.; Paul Gallimore Jr., 19, Lexington, N.C.; Jerry Mickelson, 18, Newfield, N. Y.; Ronald Diedrichs, 17, Brighton, Colo.; Larry Swisher, 17, Lost Creek, W. Va., and Bill Hawks, 18, Hernando, Miss. A 12th winner, LeRoy Zeiner, 20, Fillmore, Ind., was not present for the photo. Scholarships for Diedrichs, Zeiner and Schmidt were given by Standard Oil Foundation, Inc. (Chicago). Awards for Laseter, Taylor, Hawks, Mickelson, Gallimore, Marritt and Swisher were given by American Oil Foundation. Those for Johnson and Robinette were provided by Humble Oil & Refining Company. The national 4-H tractor program is conducted by the Cooperative Extension Service and is arranged by the National 4-H Service Committee.
