- Transcribed from front: Accidental Fires; HHB-679; Results of fire in dry peat soil. This is one of the heifer pastures used in the rotation grazing experiment. From 30 to 35 percent of the soil surface in these pastures burned down this way. The fire [occurred] in early December. This was about the driest fall season on record. Taken at Wenona, North Carolina. 1/30/42
