Item information
- Title:
- Pasture after fire
- Description:
- Transcribed from front: Accidental Fires; HHB-675; One of the pastures used in the rotation grazing experiment. About 35 percent of the soil area in some of the pastures burned to the 12" to 18" depth. Here, where the tractor and wagon used in building the fence packed the soil, the fire did not burn as badly as in other places. When dry, the peat soil burns very readily. Taken at Wenona, North Carolina. 1/30/42
