- Transcribed from accompanying material: May 2, 1932; Made by C. L. Sams; Apiary; Brunswick County; Apiary of J. E. Dodson near Exum [in Brunswick County]. These bees are well arranged and well kept in tall pine trees in Greene Swamp. These bees produce heavy yields of honey but bruin [bears] never gets a taste as Mr. Dodson's bull dog is always on the alert.
