Summer 2025 closure

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, for planned electrical work. The Special Collections Research Center is located in Hill Library, and will be closed for all appointments during this period. Special Collections can only make appointment requests until April 25th and after August 3, 2025. During the closure, Special Collections staff will be available to answer questions about our collections, if they are accessible, and to support researchers using digital materials for their research. Some materials will not be available for reproduction requests. Please contact us!

Program No. 54 is a discussion of programs offered by ENCORE, the Center for Lifelong Enrichment at NC State University. Robertson and Gebbie are participants in this program which offers educational experiences for people age 50 and older. Program No. 55 is a discussion of choral music programs directed by Sturgis at NC State University. Groups discussed include the Community Chorus, Varsity Men's Glee Club, University Choir, and the Chamber Singers. Program No. 56 is a discussion of the nature and advantages of double-degree BA/BS programs at NC State University. At the time this programs was produced there were three such programs: Thomas Jefferson Scholars work toward a Bachelor of Arts in one of the departments in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Life Sciences. Rinker is a Jefferson scholar. Benjamin Franklin Scholars - B.A. in Humanities and Social Sciences and a B.S. in Engineering. Humphrey is a Franklin scholar. Eli Whitney Scholars - B.A. in Humanities and Social Sciences and a B.S. in Textiles. Program No. 57 is a discussion of the programs offered by the College of Engineering at NC State University. StateSide Television Program: "Stateside" was a studio-filmed public affairs program produced by NC State Creative Services between 1990 and 1999, with 159 30-minute episodes made. It was created to focus on the people, events, and issues of North Carolina State University's community, including featured students, faculty, researchers, athletes, and alumnus. These features were also cast on regional cable television outlets.
