A photograph of Elbert Hubbard, Harry White, and Dr. Schenck. Hubbard (1856 - 1915) was a writer and founder of the Roycroft Press, a communal publishing concern. Schenck met Hubbard on a trip to a Chippewa Indian reservation in northern Minnesota in 1899. Schenck maintained a correspondence with Hubbard and admired him for his wit and intelligence. Hubbard died in the sinking of the ocean liner Lusitania. This photograph was taken on that expedition. Compliments Harry White Cass Lake Oct-99 L. to R. Harry White - Elbert Hubbard & Schenck"
