This recording was conducted in the Talley Student Union on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the NCSU GLBT Center’s 10th Anniversary Celebration. Edward Smith discusses his arrival at NC State in 1993, the challenges facing the GLBT community on campus during the 1990s, involvement in the formation of a chapter of GLBT fraternity Delta Lambda Phi at NC State, and the founding of the GLBT Center on campus in its original location in Talley Student Union and later in Harrelson Hall.
