Ashley Simons-Rudolph discusses her experience as an Instructor in the Department of Women's and Gender Studies; her scholarly work related to ethical issues surrounding international public health initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa; observing positive changes in the NCSU campus climate since her time as an undergraduate, particularly pertaining to diversity and inclusion; her passion for working with students; the value of having a network of women faculty at NC State; her mentor Dr. Laura Severin; and inspiring future generations of women faculty by raising visibility and sharing stories that students can connect with.
