This recording was conducted in the James B. Hunt Jr. Library in Raleigh, North Carolina, at a reunion of the Park Scholars Class of 2005 alumni. In the recording, Kathleen Powers (’05) discusses: the Park Scholars program’s role in her decision to attend NC State University; attending sporting events with other Park Scholars; watching quarterback Philip Rivers play football; mentor and former Park Scholars program director Laura Gail Lunsford; lasting friendships with other Park Scholars; advice for current Park Scholars; the Krispy Kreme relay race; her continued involvement with the Park Scholars program as an alumna; and pride in the continuing success and growth of NC State.
